Gerrard Corporation has been recognized as a recipient of the 2014 Environmental Achievement Award by Rochester Public Utilities and the Olmsted County Environmental Commission for their Metropolitan Market Place Development. The building includes sustainable features like a rain garden to help control storm water runoff from the parking lot into the public storm sewers. Structural soils, street trees, and porous concrete pavers in the boulevard combine to help create an ecologically-friendly environment.
